Is colloidal oatmeal just the same ground oats you eat for breakfast?
No. Although both basically oats. Colloidal oatmeal is extremely finely ground (whole oats including the bran) beyond what can be achieve with a home grinder. The actives are in the bran part. It's aqueous solution of water and oats. It is rich in beta-glucans know to reduce inflammation. It is easier to be absorbed by the skin when applied topically. Known to do wonders for psoriasis, eczema, rosacea, itchy skin and more.
In order for the oats to penetrate the skin, regular oats just don't cut it.
